Hey mates! I’ve been diving into Battlefield 6’s Gauntlet mode lately, and I have to say, playing as the Assault class feels like pure chaos in the best possible way. The role is all about taking and securing space for your team, and I’m going to walk you through some of the most fun and effective tactics Ive found that really help dominate the field.

The Assault class is built for versatility. You’re often at the front lines, pushing forward to capture objectives and break through enemy defenses. The key to success, I’ve found, is mobility and surprise. That’s where the Assault Ladder comes into play. You might have seen it before, but trust me, this little gadget is a game-changer. It lets you quickly scale high ground—whether that’s a building, a ledge, or a wall—and get the drop on unsuspecting enemies. I cant tell you how many times Ive used it to get the jump on opponents hiding on rooftops or behind barricades. A lot of the time, they dont even know what hit them.

Now, I know the Assault class isnt just about rushing in guns blazing, even though that part is fun too. One of my favourite weapons in the arsenal is the M320 HE Launcher. This grenade launcher is perfect for multiple situations. Whether you’re cracking open enemy armor, finishing off a wounded enemy, or just blowing up cover to create a clear path, this launcher does it all. The splash damage is brutal, and it’s fantastic for clearing out entrenched enemies hiding behind walls or other cover. I’ve had so many successful moments where I just lob a shot into a bunker or behind a building, and boom, the enemy’s position is gone.

It’s crucial to use these tools to keep moving forward. As an Assault player, you’re the one who needs to push into enemy territory and secure objectives. Whether you’re taking high ground, clearing out entrenched positions, or providing a distraction, it’s all about creating space for your teammates to move in. And don’t forget, your job is also to get in close to those objectives to hold them while your squad finishes the job.

The gameplay loop of Assault in BF6 Gauntlet mode is all about fast movement and flexibility. Using the Assault Ladder and M320 HE Launcher together gives you the edge, and I highly recommend trying out this approach if you’re looking to climb the ranks in Gauntlet mode.
